M Iffat Hasan is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at University of Nevada Reno. He is originally from Bangladesh. He completed his Bachelor’s degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2016. He joined the Porous Media research group at University of Nevada Reno in January, 2018, as a Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering and he defended his Master’s in August 2020. Now he is continuing his studies as Ph.D. student at University of Nevada Reno from Fall 2020. Currently, he is representing the college of engineering in GSA as a council member. Here, he is in the events committee and student fee review committee. He was directly involved in arranging Fall Social and Spring Social for the graduate students. Moreover, he is the president of three different GSA clubs, MEGSA, BSA, and Tahoe FC where he arranges socials and other events for the club. Playing soccer, watching movies, arranging events are his favorite hobbies.
